Step 2
-
From under the vehicle, spray a small amount of penetrating oil on the Tri bolt Manifold/Header flange, exhaust mounting bracket bolts and the catback flange bolts.

Remove the O2 sensors. Be sure to mark them for drivers side and passenger side for reinstalling.

-
Remove the exhaust hanger bolts.
-
Remove the exhaust bracket bolts.
-
The mid section of your exhaust should be now be fully disconnected from the car.
Step 3
-
You should now have a clear shot at the stock tunnel plate.
-
Remove the 36 bolts, leaving 1 on each side approximately in the middle of the stock plate for support.
-
Take note of your O2 sensors, you will need to feed them threw the hole in your stock plate when you remove it.
-
Remove the final two bolts from the stock plate and remove the plate.
Step 4
-
Position your CCA Tunnel Plate for installation and feed your O2 sensors threw the appropriate hole.
-
Insert 1 bolt roughly in the middle of the plate on each side to secure plate. Do not tighten.
-
Insert remaining 34 bolts and hand tighten until plate is flush with the bottom of the tunnel.
-
Tighten all tunnel plate bolts to 86 inch/pounds of torque, or 1/2 turn past snug. (Do not over tighten, you will strip these bolts.) In this case, extra tight does not add to product performance.
Step 5
-
Reverse above instructions to reinstall exhaust.
-
Take note of your marked O2 sensors and be sure to install them on the correct side.
Notes of interest
-
The CCA plate was designed with two holes for cars that have headers, relocated cats and relocated O2 sensors.
-
If you car has had previous exhaust work, take a look at your exhaust brackets, now may be a great time to get some good quality replacements.
